BEYOND THE REGULAR PLANE
Cityscapes Gallery presents in June-July 2013 the exhibition MORE DIMENSIONS at GM8 in which we show recent work by Alexa Meyerman, Charlie Koolhaas and Marissa Evers. Three artist who step beyond the regular plane of traditional drawing and photography and unfold multidimensional views on our architectural and urban environment.

MARISSA EVERS
In her multi layered and multi facetted 3D drawings Marissa Evers evokes with simple pencil lines particular intricate and exuberant cityscapes. The exhibition includes two pilot studies for the Gotham City exhibition that Marissa Evers will present later this year in a solo show at Cityscapes Gallery.

CHARLIE KOOLHAAS
The work of Charlie Koolhaas depicts the hectic and nomadic life of the contemporary metropolitan. In her photo series, writings and objects she captures the essential of the worldwide, urban environment: always changing, accumulating new layers and intertwining stories. At GM8 Charlie will show recent experiments with photo works on folded aluminum plates.

ALEXA MEYERMAN
The fragile, transparent photo sculptures of Alexa Meyerman show images of seemingly ordinary houses that are reconstructed and deconstructed in a surreal way. Some details have been emphasized, while others are dissolving or dissolved. Like in memories or dreams.
